in the global commodity industry.
Vessels and barges burn different types of bunkers. This means they require different requirements for density, viscosity, sulphur and a few other specifications.
Jet A1 is a kerosene grade of fuel suitable for most turbine engine aircraft. It has a flash point minimum of 38 degrees Celsius (100 F) and a freeze point maximum 0f -47 degrees Celsius.
Ultra-Sulphur Diesel (ULSD 10ppm) is a low sulphur diesel and widely used. The fuel goes through a refining process where sulphur is removed up to a figure of 10 parts per million (ppm) or less.
Marine Fuel, (also known as heavy oil, fuel or furnace oil) is a fraction obtained from petroleum distillation, either as a distillate or a residue.
